Tyler’s love for aviation began as a young kid going to watch airplanes with his Dad. Whether it be watching planes land at the airport, going to airshows, looking at cutaway views in books, or building model aircraft, all of these things brought joy and ignited a passion for the field of aviation. It is this passion for aviation that drove him from dreaming about working on aircraft to pursuing it as a profession through higher education.
Tyler began his aviation career with a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Purdue University in Aeronautical Engineering Technology and now has nearly 8 years of experience in the completions industry ranging from engineering new design, writing compliance documentation and test plans, performing aircraft level testing, and organizing and leading a small team of engineers on cabin completions. He has designed systems for and helped deliver numerous large aircraft cabin
completion projects. As a result, Mr. McCauley has a firm and holistic understanding of the design process from concept, through fabrication and implementation, to testing and certification.
